Gridiron in Victoria is set for a huge boost on the eve of its 2022 season with confirmation today that in partnership with My Sport Live (MSL), it will broadcast dozens of games live throughout the season.

Each week, matches across Men’s Division 1, Men’s Division 2, Under 19 Boys and Under 16 Boys / Girls will again be broadcast live via the Gridiron Victoria (GV) Facebook page and the My Sport Live app.

The season will open on 1 October with action to be streamed live from Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve in Bendigo – to mark the return to the competition of the Bendigo Dragons.

Over 30 matches from last season can be watched through the MSL platform, and with more games from around the state to be shown over the next three months, it is an exciting time for the sport.

GV President Troy Haynes believes the announcement is a significant one for the sport in Victoria and Australia, as the best in the state will be showcased around the country and indeed the world.

“We have such great competitions here in Victoria, and to be able to show the best of what we have to offer is wonderful for the sport,” he said.

“Our partnership with My Sport Live last season was so well received by our stakeholders that it was a no brainer to get them back on board and to continue to work together for the benefit of the sport.

“We can’t wait for the season to get underway, and hope that everyone enjoys being able to watch the broadcast games over the next few months.”
