Rugby Victoria (RV), together with My Sport Live (MSL), is pleased to announce that matches of the premier Rugby competitions in Victoria – the Dewar Shield and the Lindroth Cup, will be broadcast live in 2023.
Each round, the matches will be broadcast directly to the Rugby Victoria Facebook page and will be available on demand to view on the MSL OTT platform.
Having partnered up to stream matches over the past couple of years, the broadcast agreement ensures that the best Rugby that Victoria has to offer can be seen each week for free.
With the season commencing this weekend, Rugby Victoria CEO Chris Evans said it was great to be able to extend the partnership with MSL and bring Victorian Rugby to the screen throughout 2023.
“It really is great that we can partner up with My Sport Live and make sure we are showcasing our best players, teams and competition to the wider community,” he said.
“Victorian rugby has a rich history and wonderful reputation in the Rugby community, so to be able to showcase this to the world is definitely something we are proud of.”
“We look forward to announcing the fixtures set for broadcast each week and continuing to grow and expand this partnership in the future.”
MSL Managing Director Andrew Weiss echoed Evans’ sentiments.
“We have loved working with RV and have really enjoyed broadcasting the Dewar Shield over the past few years,” Weiss said.
“It is wonderful to again sign on with Rugby Victoria and extend our coverage to the Womens game and we can’t wait to get stuck into the season this weekend – bringing the matches to the screen for all to see.”
