My Sport Live (MSL) and Disability Sport & Recreation (DSR) are proud to announce an innovative new partnership that will provide greater exposure to disability sport.

The 12-month partnership will see MSL offer a variety of services including webcasting to sporting organisations within Victoria to assist them in promoting events featuring athletes with disability.

MSL’s commitment to disability sport will also extend to sponsoring the Male Sportsperson of the Year award at the upcoming Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Awards on 1 August, as well as presenting at the upcoming 2018 National Disability Sports Conference in Melbourne on 17-18 July.

Speaking on the new partnership, MSL Managing Director Andrew Weiss said the company was excited to work with DSR to assist sporting organisations promote positive health outcomes for people with disability.

“My Sport Live is so proud and really excited to be partnering up with Disability Sport and Recreation, who we already have a wonderful relationship with,” Weiss said.

“To become key partners with DSR highlights our continued commitment to the sporting industry, and more specifically our commitment to help showcase greater inclusion in sport.”

“We are really looking forward to broadcasting events across a range of different sports and helping to showcase a wide variety of competitions, events and athletes through multiple platforms.”

DSR Chief Executive Officer Richard Amon said: “The new partnership provides a wonderful opportunity to provide wider exposure to a number of sporting events and athletes that are sure to capture the viewer’s attention, similar to what has occurred with the increased coverage of the Paralympic Games, but at a more local scale.”

“DSR looks forward to hosting a regular ‘disability sport channel’ covering a number of sports and events, providing huge exposure to the wider community around what’s possible for people with disability.

“Ultimately, we hope the coverage will inspire a new generation of athletes with disability to emerge, at both the elite and grassroots levels discovering the enormous power of sport to transform lives and provide powerful improvements in physical and mental health.”
